The Fourth Princess was the sixth daughter of Emperor Kangxi, was granted the title of Princess Heshuokejing in November of the 36th year of Kangxi reign (AD1697), as she was the fourth princess granted her title, and was called the Fourth Princess. In the same year, the Four Princess married to the far away Khalkha Mongolia (now Ulan Bator of Mongolia) according to the will of her emperor father. After the Princess Kejing got married, she promoted the development of cultural and economic exchanges between Mongolia and the mainland, and facilitated the Shanxi Merchants to create a precious network of commerce and trade in the north. During her temporary residence in Qingshuihe, the princess enclosed more than 6500 acres of land along the Great Wall to cultivate, had a bumper harvest year after year, and exempted the local people from exorbitant taxes and levies. In order to thank the Four Princess, the local people set up the monument to commemorate her benevolent rule.
